Bays No.8-9 of 330kV GIS at Dnistrovska PSPP have been energized

Chief engineer of Dnistrovska PSPP, Anatolii Zhuk said:

“According to the technology, as well as the approved programs and schedules, one of the main milestones on the putting of hydroelectric unit No.4 into industrial operation is the arrangement of the most critical component for the power output – connection of the hydroelectric unit to the United Power System of Ukraine. This is provided with 330kV GIS where the bays No.8 and No.9 assure the connection of the next 330kV trunk line, which is planned to be installed from 750/330kV SS “Vinnytska” and from the PSPP Unit No. 4 consequently.

This very important and meticulous work was performed by the general contractor Consortium “RPA “Ukrgidroenergobud” and LIMITED LIABILITY COMPANY “KYIV ENERGY CONSTRUCTION COMPANY” with the participation of supervising engineers of the “Hitachi ABB Power Grids” international company, using unique test equipment.

Commissioning works were carried out by the specialists of STC “ENPASELECTRO” Ltd with the participation of the specialists from the capital construction department, electrical service, process automation, protection and communication services of Dnistrovska PSPP.”

LLC “KECC” performs works at Dnistrovska PSPP within the project “Construction work on the construction of the second stage of Dnistrovska PSPP as part of the hydroelectric unit No.4”. In December 2020, on the occasion of Power Engineer’s Day, start-up operations were carried out on the hydroelectric unit No. 4 of Dnistrovska PSPP, which is scheduled for industrial operation in the third quarter of 2021.
